Apps - Mightier

Mightier was developed and tested at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School to give kids a safe place to practice emotional control, develop coping skills, and build the emotional muscle memory they need to help respond to life’s challenges. Kids wear a Mighty Band heart rate monitor as they play that controls the level of difficulty in the games. As heart rates go up, the games get harder to play. The more kids learn to stay cool, the more they succeed. All the games are fan favorites, but the kids must rely on their emotional control to determine their outcome. After 12 weeks of Mightier use, the average family sees a 62% reduction in outbursts, a 40% reduction in oppositional behaviors, and a 19% reduction in parent stress. Each Mightier package comes six 30 minute consultations with a licensed coach to support your child's journey. Additionally, there is a data hub of information where parents can monitor their child's progress. Check it out here https://mightier.com/
Why We Love It: Finally, a digital game we can get behind. The concept of educating our children to practice emotional control in maybe a high stress situation is brilliant, and should be fun for the child as well. We hope they make an adult version as well!
Tech Gear - The Heal Wellbe

Welcome to the future of doctor and patient relationships. The Heal Wellbe is a simple, easy-to-use, fully integrated plug-in home health hub, the size of a nightlight, that easily connects with over 120 health tracking devices that track blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar, temperature and more, as well as integrate Fitbit trackers and other wearables. Moreover, The Wellbe securely delivers data from the health tracking device directly to the Heal doctor – combining high-touch house calls with real-time health data tracking for the first time ever. Removing a lot of the guess-work when the patient visits a doctor for a checkup.
The Heal physician will determine which monitoring devices the patient needs and then connect them to the physical Wellbe, which has its own embedded LTE radio. The Wellbe is also available via the existing Heal mobile app. It offers the first consumer-facing integration of real-time diagnostic data with a doctor who is able to come to the patient’s home, or converse with them directly via telemedicine session, all in the context of that data. It is an open and interoperable platform enabling Heal to deliver this advancement in value to their patients at an affordable rate. Check it out here https://heal.com/wellbe/
Why We Love It: Last year, The Heal App won for its platform that connected you to Heal doctors that will visit you at your home for all types of cases. Now, Heal has elevated their company with the introduction of the Wellbe. This is a Fitbit on steroids. You will no longer have to rely on your memory or actions to explain "what's been going on" since you last saw your doctor, as your doctor will have all that information in real-time.
